The auction entry form will describe your vehicle and will be read out by the auctioneer as your car goes under the hammer so it is important you take care when completing your entry form. The information given on this form must be accurate. N.B. If any of the information given on the entry form is incorrect, you will be legally held responsible for any costs that may arise from the incorrect statement.
Deciding your Reserve Price
The reserve price is the minimum amount you want to sell your vehicle for and the vehicle will not be sold for less that this amount.
When you bring your car to our premises for the auction you will need
- For cars registered before to 1993: A Log Book
- For cars registered 1993 or after: A Vehicle Licensing Certificate And Where Possible A Vehicle Registration Certificate
- Any other documentation you may have such as TAX, DOE etc
- Keys
These items must be lodged with the office prior to your car going through the auction ring.
Leave Your Contact Number
It is totally at your discretion whether you stay for the auction or not. If you do not wish to stay, you can leave a number to be contacted at in the event of a provisional sale. This is where the vehicle reaches a bid close to your reserve price and you will be contacted to see if you would like to sell your vehicle for this price. You are not obliged to sell your vehicle at a provisional sale price.
After the car is sold you will be paid within seven working days of the auction. You may call to the auction office after 8.00 p.m. the following Wednesday Night and collect your cash. Otherwise a cheque will be sent through the post on the Thursday - So please make sure that the address given on the entry form is correct.
All cars sold at auction are subject to the following fees:
- Entry Fee €30
- Sellers Commission is 10% (+VAT at 23%) on the first €1,000
- Sellers Commission is 7.5% (+VAT at 23%) on the next €2,000
- Sellers Commission is 5% (+VAT at 23%) after €3,000
